FUR TANNING

FROM CARCASS TO FINISH

We offer a full line of tanning services that covers everything from carcass to the finished product. We use our own personalized tags that identify each fur that is sent to the tannery so you always know that the animal you brought in is the one you are taking home. Whether you need a fox, coyote, or bear done we can do it for you at a very competitive price. All you need to do is bring us the animal in any form, carcass, skinned or dried and we will take care of the rest.

The pricing below is for animals that are fleshed then air dried or salt dried.

Preparation & Shipping
All specimens shipped to us should be properly cared for:
*Properly flesh all red meat and heavy fat from skins
*Remove knuckles and split tails
*Salt well. Leave for 24 hours and re-salt
*Shake off excess salt and hang skins up to dry!
*After drying has occurred, fold to uniform size, place skins in cardboard box and ship them.

Payment is due upon completion of work.  If payment is not received within 60 days the item will be considered the property of Melby Outdoors.
